Horses galore!

Here's some of my most recent pictures. ;-)

Sage-- We got snow! ....for a few hours or so. ;-)

 Ladybug always looks so sweet.

 Betty... I love this shot!

Holly with some snowflakes.

Betty.

Sage. The other day, we had such a windy day!!
It made for some great mane shots.

There's a dog in the neighborhood that likes to follow me around. I don't know who she belongs to, but she's a really fun pup! She was annoying Sage and running up and down the fence, barking at her. Every once in awhile, she'd slip under the fence and run toward Sage, only to turn around and hightail it out of there when Sage started running at her. It was hilarious to watch.

Sage's mane is my favorite. It's so long and thick. And messy.

 Here's the dog, named Daffodil.
(I really don't like her name...! I call her Daffy Duck a lot haha)

Cheyenne. I really love this shot for some reason.

I don't know what this guy's real name is, but I call him Strength.

He didn't like Daffy very much either. ;-)

Strength, and his pasture-mate in the back, whom I call Bud.

He is really huge-- height and weight-wise!!

Bud.

These are two are best friends. I think they might be related somehow...
They certainly look like they are.

Ladybug in the back, Holly in the middle, and Annie in front.

I felt so loved when they started running towards me when I whistled....
Then they ran right past me. Some love.

I took off my shoulder sling for awhile, and got some pictures with Holly.

I love her so much.

She's my gal. <3

I've always wanted a picture like this.

My boots and Holly's nose.  haha

This is one of my favorites... Not sure why.
I just feel like I look extra happy in it.

Holly didn't put her head down like she normally does, so I just posed awkwardly.
But I ended up liking it. A lot.

Me: "Uh, Holly. I'm down here."
Holly: "I know. Why do you think I'm keeping my head up here...?"
:-P

A favorite.

Dusty awesome fall weather.

Molly. My donkey friend.

Ending with my favorite.

Horses in the Snow

Hey! I haven't been on here in quite some time, now! I've been busy, but hope to start updating things here a little bit more often... :)

Anyways, we got some snow (finally!) the other day, and I was able to get out and get some pictures of the horses. (Horses that belong to three different neighbors...) Most of them turned out pretty well, I think.

This horse is named Betty. She always comes over to greet me in the morning when I get out to the barn to feed the cats. She is such a beautiful horse; I think she's a Morgan or a QH/Morgan cross.
However, it's very hard to get pictures of dark horses in the snow...
 The is Betty's pasture-mate, Cheyenne.

This nose belongs to Sage, a young horse adopted from a rescue last year. She's come a long ways from what she was like when they first got her, but she still has a ways to go...
She gets especially frisky when it's chilly out.
This one is SO perfect... I 'm hoping to wood burn it sometime.
I wish I was closer to her when I got this shot, so that it would be in better focus and detail.
Her mane is also quite perfect in this one, as well. Too bad I cut it off with the camera.
 She's really a beautiful horse.
These sweet-looking donkeys are named Molly and Serafina. (Molly actually is pretty sweet, but Serafina definitely has that ornery donkey character...)  I can easily see a picture like this on a valentine or something.
This is Annie, a beautiful bay quarter horse. If you click on this picture, and zoom in, you can see Holly in the reflection of her eye...
 Holly, my best horse-friend.
 Another close-up of Annie.

The whole gang, Going in a clockwise circle-- Annie, Holly, ladybug, Molly, and Serafina.

Enjoy!
